If you want to really understand a person’s priorities, have a look at their checkbook! At Craigs Church, racking up a big bank balance has never been one of our goals. Tools only work if you use them. We want to keep our focus on people, and how we can bless them.  If you’d simply like to give online or set-up an automated giving account please click here.

Money and Trust

Can I trust my money to the church and ministers?

Well we really have to admit it. There has been a lot of “bad press” with money and churches. We don’t want to be lumped together with them, so we endeavor to be different. We seek to exercise full accountability, ethical business practices and wise stewardship with the resources that are entrusted to our care.  Our financial integrity is above reproach. The money received doesn’t line the pockets of the staff but goes to further our mission in our community — helping our friends and neighbors to experience Jesus.

Where does Craigs Baptist Church get its money?

First of all, we’d like to acknowledge that it is not “our” money.  It is God’s money on loan to accomplish certain tasks. Having said, that, we’ll get back to your question…

Our support comes from people who tithe (giving back to God 10% of earnings) and from the free-will offerings of attendees and supporters. We think it is only normal for anyone that calls Craigs “home” to support the church financially. We don’t have a few individuals with “deep pockets” funding everything.  It is a shared responsibility for all of us.

Do you have high accounting standards?

Yes. We have a leadership team that oversees all financial systems. Every financial contributor receives a giving statement at the end of the year, and can ask pertinent questions at any time.  We don’t have anything to hide and we really want you to be satisfied with our answer.  We have accountability structures in place and we always know that we will also give a report to God (who sees all) for our faithfulness or lack thereof.

Why does Craigs give stuff away?

We are a church. We invest in people. We are not simply a business trying to increase its bottom line. We give away bibles, coffee, curriculum, books, CDs, food, and other gifts because we follow the example of a generous God.

What if I have other questions?

We are always available to answer your questions.  Please feel free to contact us. We’ll do our best to answer to your satisfaction.
